National Convention Centre
The National Convention Centre was created to become a world-class conference venue in the heart of Dublin.
Recognised as the first carbon neutral constructed convention centre in the world, The CCD’s contemporary design meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability, being committed to long-term sustainability in accordance with the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 14001. It also features a thermal-wheel heat-recovery system and an ice-storage thermal unit to provide air conditioning for the building.
Diffusion Fan Coil units were used provide Air Conditioning to specific administration areas and Kampmann Energy Saving Tandem Door curtains with its unique dual fan system, were used in the very elaborate Entrance Hall Area. The door curtains were concealed in the curved bulkhead above the large Revolving Doors and curved discharge grilles by Kampmann were used to match the Bulkhead design.
