The refurbishment and redevelopment of A&L Goodbody’s Dublin headquarters signals an ambitious leap toward becoming Ireland’s most sustainable building. With a 36% increase in footprint, expanding to 14,400 sq m (155,000 sq ft), the project features the addition of two new floors, landscaped rooftop terraces, and a stunning new atrium designed to foster collaboration among employees. At the penthouse level, a new client floor offers modern, elevated spaces for engagement. These enhancements not only reflect the firm’s growth but also underline its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and creating an environment that supports both productivity and well-being.
Keane Environmental were delighted to supply Homan O’Brien and Designer Group with Diffusion fancoils, Gilberts Grilles and Pettinaroli PICVs.
EnergySaver FCUs, class leading SFPs from Diffusion
At the heart of this project lies the ambition to be Ireland’s most sustainable building and the inherent commitment to energy efficiency, evident in every aspect of the design and specifications. With a stringent energy rating criteria mandating best-in-class SFP levels, the Diffusion 270EC Fan Coil was specified due to its cutting edge efficiency performance.
By integrating this cutting-edge technology, Homan O’Brien and Designer Group ensured optimal air circulation and comfort for occupants while significantly reducing the building’s environmental footprint.
Contemporary attractive perforated face diffusers
Gilberts grilles and Coanda plates were used throughout in spaces with no suspended ceiling and exposed services. Gilberts grilles provide efficient air distribution, ensuring optimal ventilation and maintaining a comfortable indoor environment without the need for intrusive ceiling installations. The Coanda plates then enhance airflow by utilising the Coanda effect, directing air along the ceiling surface for better air mixing and distribution throughout the space. In buildings with exposed services, such as the A&L Goodbody Headquaters on North Wall Quay, this combination helps achieve aesthetic appeal by blending seamlessly with industrial-style designs while maintaining high performance in terms of thermal comfort and air quality.
